Antenatal Care

Antenatal Care

At Network One Maternity, we specialise in providing exceptional antenatal care. We’ll support you throughout your pregnancy and prepare you for when your little one comes into the world.

The Network One Maternity Program is a comprehensive, woman-centered program designed for expectant mothers. Every expecting mother under our care is required to attend antenatal consultations according to the outlined schedule. This is a crucial step in ensuring the ongoing health and well-being of both you and your baby.

Our team is composed of Gynaecologists, Lead Midwife Specialists, Clinicians, Paediatricians, and Doulas, bringing together a diverse range of expertise to provide comprehensive and specialized care.

One of our distinctive features is our Midwife-led approach. This means that for most of your antenatal visits, a Midwife will be responsible for your check-ups.

Antenatal Schedule

Understanding the recommended check-ups, screenings, and scans and their timing throughout pregnancy is crucial for expectant mothers. Throughout the gestation period, various tests such as blood tests and ultrasound scans will be suggested to identify potential issues that could arise during the pregnancy or postnatally.

We provide comprehensive education on fostering a healthy pregnancy. Our assessments include vital checks like monitoring blood pressure and analyzing urine samples to identify any potential pregnancy complications. Appointments are an ideal opportunity for you to inquire about any concerns you might have.

*An NT scan, or nuchal translucency scan, is an antenatal screening test typically performed between the 11th and 14th weeks of pregnancy. This non-invasive ultrasound scan measures the thickness of the fluid at the back of the baby’s neck (nuchal translucency). The results, when combined with maternal age and sometimes blood test results, can help assess the risk of Down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities in the foetus. It’s important to note that the NT scan is a screening, not a diagnostic, test, and further diagnostic tests may be recommended if the results indicate a higher risk.
